Carpet Tech began in Lubbock and remains locally operated. Today, our teams serve communities across West Texas, Eastern New Mexico, and North DFW.
That history gives us practical experience with the conditions common to this region—from windblown soil and heavy commercial traffic to plumbing failures, storm damage, dry-climate dust, and the flooring materials used in local homes and businesses.
We are not a national call center assigning jobs to unknown local providers. Customers work with Carpet Tech teams serving the communities where we live and operate.
Training and credentials by service line.
Professional credentials are meaningful only when they apply to the person, company, and work being performed. Carpet Tech assigns trained personnel based on the service required. Depending on the project, our team includes professionals holding the following credentials and training.
Cleaning and restoration
Carpet Tech personnel hold certifications issued by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, including designations in:
– Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)
– Commercial Carpet Maintenance Technician (CCMT)
– Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
– Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
Certification requirements differ by designation. Ask us which certified personnel will be assigned to your project.
Air-duct cleaning
Carpet Tech is a member of the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, membership number 1216732. Our air-duct procedures are informed by NADCA guidance, including the applicable provisions of ACR, the NADCA Standard for the Assessment, Cleaning and Restoration of HVAC Systems.
NADCA membership is not a guarantee that every HVAC system requires cleaning or that cleaning will resolve every indoor-air concern. We evaluate the system and explain the recommended scope before work begins.
Natural stone and specialty surfaces
Our specialty-surface team works with materials such as marble, travertine, granite, concrete, tile, and grout. We identify the surface and its condition before recommending cleaning, honing, polishing, sealing, coating, or repair.
Carpet Tech is affiliated with the Natural Stone Institute. Where a credential applies to a particular technician or service, we will identify it in the estimate or project documentation.
Pest management
Bug Tech, Carpet Tech’s pest-management division, performs regulated pest-control services under applicable state licensing. Customers should be able to verify the responsible business license, applicator credentials, and treatment information relevant to their service.
Process
Our process is specific to the job.
We identify the material, visible damage or soil conditions, customer concerns, and any practical limitations that may affect the result.
We explain the proposed scope, products or equipment where relevant, expected result, pricing, and available options. Restoration and specialty projects may require additional testing or documentation.
The assigned team follows the process appropriate to the service. Equipment settings—including heat, pressure, airflow, and drying capacity—are adjusted for the material and site conditions rather than treated as one universal setting.
We review the work and document measurable conditions when the service calls for them. Examples may include moisture readings during structural drying, installed coating thickness, photographs, or other project-specific records.
If you have a concern after service, contact the local team promptly. We will review the agreed scope, inspect the concern when necessary, and apply the written guarantee terms for that service.
our Equipment
Equipment matters, but the highest available temperature or pressure is not appropriate for every material. Carpet Tech uses professional equipment selected for the service, which may include truck-mounted hot-water extraction systems, air movers, low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers, negative-air equipment, specialty floor machines, and surface-cleaning tools.
Our technicians adjust the process for the fiber, finish, adhesive, substrate, level of contamination, and site conditions. When a project requires measurable performance, we document the relevant operating conditions or project readings.
Carpet and textile cleaning
For appropriate materials, we use truck-mounted hot-water extraction and a purified, deionized-water final rinse. No detergent is added to that final rinse. Preconditioning agents, spot treatments, or protectants may be recommended separately and will be explained as part of the service.Drying time varies with fiber type, carpet construction, the number of cleaning passes, indoor temperature, humidity, and airflow. We provide realistic drying guidance for the conditions present rather than promising one drying time for every home.
