Hard Surface Cleaning Terrazzo, VCT, Laminate & Epoxy

Vinyl composition tile is designed to be maintained with regular mopping and periodic waxing — and the VCT maintenance cycle works, as long as the stripping step happens on schedule. In most facilities it doesn't. Finish coats continue to be applied over old, contaminated, yellowed finish. The floor gets dull and yellow regardless of how often it's mopped, because the problem is in the accumulated finish layers — not on the surface.

Terrazzo is a composite flooring material — marble, granite, or glass chips set in a cement or epoxy matrix, then ground and polished to a seamless surface. It is one of the most durable floors ever made. A terrazzo floor installed in the 1940s can look as good today as the day it was polished — if it's been maintained correctly.

Most hasn't been.

Epoxy-coated floors are built for heavy use. Garages, commercial kitchens, industrial facilities, showrooms, and warehouses — the epoxy coating handles chemical spills, heavy equipment, and daily abuse that would destroy other floor types. What it doesn't handle well is the contamination that embeds into its texture over time.

What we do — Professional epoxy cleaning uses degreasers and mechanical agitation matched to the specific epoxy system — lifting embedded contamination without harsh solvents that would damage the coating or abrasives that would dull or scratch the surface.

When cleaning isn't enough — Epoxy coatings that have been scratched, abraded, or chemically damaged beyond what cleaning can address may need recoating.
