Odor Removal 101

Anyone else smell that?

Unpleasant odors in a home can come from several different sources, none of which are too tough to tackle. Some examples include (but are not limited to)…

  • SMOKE FROM A FIRE OR CIGARETTES

  • MOLD CAUSED BY WATER DAMAGE

  • PET DAMAGE

Depending on where your odors are coming from, Carpet Tech offers a few different types of odor removal processes that can take your home from unpleasant to palatable in no time!

THERMAL FOGGING

Thermal fogging is a safe, easy-to-use process that uses heated deodorizing solutions to blow a cleaning smoke throughout the affected areas of a home. Because of its ability to reach virtually anywhere, this smoke is very effective in permeating every corner of a home, including the carpet, walls, and other structural elements.

The thermal fogging process is most commonly used in areas that have been affected by some sort of smoke, whether it be from a fire or tobacco.

OZONE TREATMENT

Ozone, when used in its gas state, is an oxidant that is far more powerful than bleach. For everything that thermal fogging doesn’t handle, ozone treatment can do the trick. As the second most powerful oxidant in existence, ozone has the ability to bond with and destroy bacteria, mold, odors, and any other harmful materials that may be present.
