Today, we’re happy to introduce Erica Hand! Erica works in Collin County as a Business Development Manager for Carpet Tech. We recently took some time to catch up with Erica to learn more about what she loves to do outside of work as well as her favorite parts of working on the Carpet Tech team!
When you’re not busy helping people improve their homes, what can we find you doing?
I have two kiddos that are heavily involved in sports, so on most evenings, you can find me on a court or field watching a game. I wouldn’t change it for the world! For fun, we love going on quick adventures and being outdoors as a family; fishing, river trips in the summer, walking and hiking nature trails, etc.
What’s your favorite thing about your job with Carpet Tech?
I love working with our awesome customers and building wonderful, long-lasting relationships with them!
Do you have a favorite work story?
My favorite work stories almost always have to do with the senior care facilities that we serve. One time a resident talked me into hanging up all of the clothes on “her” bed in her closet, come to find out those clothes were actually her roommate’s! Another resident once blocked off an entire hallway with her arms and told us that we had no business there. After overhearing that she liked chocolate, we took her a couple of Hershey bars as a peace offering. There are many more stories, but these are two that always give me a lot of smiles. I LOVE the seniors!
