In the spirit of building up community, we are proud to announce a special partnership with West Texas A&M University to support Amarillo Habitat for Humanity.
ABOUT AMARILLO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Amarillo Habitat for Humanity is a Christian-based nonprofit dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through its mission: Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Habitat seeks to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. To accomplish this vision, the organization builds three-to-five bedroom homes for low-to-median income families who qualify and complete our program requirements. Habitat homes are provided to families with a 25-to-30 year, no interest mortgage loan to offer them a lower monthly payment and a more income-stable household.
Since 1981, Amarillo Habitat for Humanity has built 109 homes for local community members. Last year alone, community workers volunteered 6,927 hours of their time.
CARPET TECH GIVES BACK
We’re teaming up with West Texas A&M University in a special way this spring to help raise money for Amarillo Habitat for Humanity. For every home run scored during WTAMU baseball and softball home games, we’ll donate $10 to Amarillo Habitat. Last year, the Buffs and Lady Buffs hit a combined 60 home runs at home. Join Carpet Tech in cheering on the Buffs this season!
